As parents, we all want to foster the most loving, connected, and positive relationship we possibly can with our children. We want to nurture them, guide them, and help them to make good choices. We want our families to be harmonious and loving. We want relationships with our children that are built around open communication and mutual respect. This is all great in theory, but if your days are anything like mine, then it’s not always easy to be patient and nurturing. Sometimes, when the day has been very long, I’m exhausted, the to-do list is a mile long and R wants to launch into another bedtime battle, it’s not easy to handle the situation with positivity and patience. Wouldn’t you love to have some simple tools to help you through those moments when patience is wearing thin, tempers are frayed and all you feel like doing is yelling (or crying!). I know I could use some tools to better handle those moments.
I recently read Amanda Morgan’s ebook “Parenting with Positive Guidance”. It has been such a useful tool for me and I have referred back to it constantly. I was so thrilled when I read that Amanda was offering a Parenting with Positive Guidance ecourse. I really need this course! Registrations opened today and I have already signed up. I’ve never done an ecourse before and I would love for you to join me so that we can learn together. The Parenting with Positive Guidance ecourse will help us to strengthen the relationships within our families while also building more internal discipline within our children. This course does not promise any magic fixes. What it will offer is simple, practical parenting tools that we can use to address challenging behaviors from our children every day. We will learn the tools for teaching our children how to make better choices using positive guidance, rather than reacting to them in anger or punishment.

The course is open for registration now and classes begin on September 12, 2012. You’ll receive two e-books, and the course includes videos, links, printables and a discussion forum. I love the idea of an ecourse because it means I can study at my own pace, in my own time, and around a schedule that suits my family. I’m also looking forward to the discussion forum so that I can share my experiences with other parents and discuss how we’ve been going with putting Amanda’s tools into practise.
Read the full details of Parenting with Positive Guidance, and sign up and join me on this course. I’m looking forward to sharing in the discussions with you and learning together.
