How cute are these? These fun Easter hats would have to be one of the quickest and easiest crafts we’ve ever done and theyare so adorable. Keep reading for the super simple instructions. Here’s the super simple tutorial for both of these cuties.

FOR THE BUNNY

YOU WILL NEED

A4 size piece of pink card stock

1 large pink pom pom

1 small pink pom pom

2 googly eyes

pair of scissors

glue

Adhesive tape (optional)

Black marker and two small pieces of white paper for the teeth (optional, not pictured)

Elastic and a stapler (optional, not pictured)

TO MAKE THE BUNNY

Print out the TEMPLATE and cut out the hat shape and TWO of the ear shapes.

Wrap the hat shape into a cone and secure with adhesive tape or glue.

Now for the fun part!

First, glue the small pom pom to the front of the hat for the nose.

Next, add the two googly eyes.

Turn the hat over, and glue the lage pom pom to the back, for the bunny’s tail.

Finally, glue on the two ears.

You can leave the bunny as he is, or, you can draw on his mouth like I did. I simply used a black marker to draw the mouth and glued two small pieces of white paper for the teeth. I didn’t include these items in the photo of the required supplies as the mouth was an after thought that we added at the end of the project. R was very proud to draw his bunny’s face and even added hair on top of the bunny’s head. Here’s R’s completed hats. Keep scrolling for the chicken hat tutorial.

FOR THE CHICKEN

YOU WILL NEED

A4 size piece of yellow card stock

small piece of orange card stock

3 yellow feathers

2 googly eyes

pair of scissors

glue

Adhesive tape (optional)

Elastic and a stapler (optional, not pictured)

TO MAKE THE CHICKEN

Print out the TEMPLATE and cut out the hat shape from the yellow card stock. Next cut out the small triangle shape from the orange card stock, this will be the beak.

Wrap the hat shape into a cone and secure with adhesive tape or glue.

Now for the fun part!

First, glue the orange triangle to the front of the hat for the beak.

Next, glue on the two googly eyes.

Add a little glue to the end of one feather, and insert it into the top of the hat.

Finally, glue the remaining two featheres to the back of the hat, and you’re done!

You may like to add some elastic to these hats, so that they will stay on your child’s head. I used some thin elastic from some other party hats that we had left over from R’s last birthday party. I simply stapled the elastic to each side of the hat as shown below. If you wanted to be nice and neat about it, you could use a hole punch to make a hole in each side of the hat, then insert the elastic through and tie it off inside the hat.
